I hit fifty days of my challenge on July 20.

It actually went by without my really noticing. I was busy with other things on my mind.

But now I’ve realized it, and it’s important to me. It’s important that I take a minute and think about what this means.

I can live like this. Something in me expected that people only lived zero-waste on Instagram. They were only minimalists on the internet, where they can post a photo of their living room without actually having people in.

But I can be zero-waste in my everyday life (or at least, nearly zero-waste). I can get rid of the things that I don’t need. It’s not easy, and it requires sacrifices, but it’s possible.

I’m not sure what will happen when I reach three months. I’ll probably go on, and most likely continue blogging as well. But whatever happens, I’ve proved to myself that it can be done.
